CONQUER COMPETITION RULES

• All competing dancers must be registered for the entire VIP Dance Events Convention in the city in which they are competing.

 

• Competition age is determined as of January 1st of the year in which the event takes place. (For example: Ages for October 2016 events will be as of January 1st 2016, and ages for January 2017 events will be as of January 1st 2017.)

 

• Each studio will be allowed to compete a maximum of 25 entries and no more than 1 solo per dancer.

 

• Regional competition may be limited due to time constraints.  In cities with high numbers of entries, some competition may begin on Friday morning.

 

• All convention and competition entries must be postmarked by the cut-off deadline. If competition limit is reached before this deadline, no further entries will be accepted.

 

• Entries are accepted in the order they are received.

 

• All entries must register online.

 

• No entries will be accepted via email.

 

• No entries will be accepted by fax or phone.

 

• All entries must be registered by the registration cut-off date.  (Information located under tour dates)

Age Divisions

Mini: Ages 5-8

Junior: Ages 9-12

Teen: Ages 13-15

Senior: Ages 16-19

 

*There must be 5+ routines in each division to qualify for cash awards.

 

• All categories are the average age.  To reach the average age, add the ages of all the dancers together, then divide by the number of dancers in the routine.  Drop all decimals, and that is the average age.

 

• Names, ages, and birth dates of all dancers must appear in the registration system, or it will not be accepted.

 

• In the unlikely event a dancer’s age needs verification, valid government issued ID must be available upon request.

Solo (1 dancer)

Duo/Trio (2-3 dancers)

Entry Fees

Solo $95 per dancer

Duo/Trio (2-3 dancers) $65 per dancer

 

• All entries are final and non-refundable.  No exceptions.

 

• Entries that are canceled due to injury or illness will not be refunded. No exceptions.

 

• All Major Credit Cards/echecks are accepted as forms of payment.

 

• All returned checks are subject to a $35.00 fee.

• All-Star VIP candidates must compete a solo in a minimum of 1 city

Music Requirements

Music is to be turned in at registration for the event. 

​

Music will be accepted on a USB flash drive in .mp3 format only. 

​

.mp3 files should be labelled as follows: Act#_Routine Name

​

Act #s can be found on the Competition Schedule once released. 

​

CD's may be brought as backup.
